Here is the first team picture of the ISBHF World Championships. In it you have the referees team that will be whistling the 80 games that follow and begin today. The referees come from seven nations, are sporting the new ISBHF ref uniforms for the event and are lead by ISBHF RIC`s Tina Kirschner of Germany, Jaroslav Pikula of the Czech Republic and Dave Shaw of Canada. Mekong Cup 2013

Phuket, a famous resort of Thailand, hosted the 19th annual Mekong Cup. This venue has the longest ball hockey tradition in Asia and all pioneers of this wonderful sport participated there. Many years ago the tourney founder Richard Meiklejohn handed over the organization to John Casella who took on to arrange the tournament for the best ball hockey players in Asia.

„John is a right person on a right place. No wonder he was approved to become the very first inductee into Southeast Asian Ball Hockey Hall of Fame, „ says Vit Rezac, ISBHF Senior Vice President who has visited the venue this year.

Today our tournament received more Television coverage that it ever has here in Canada. We would like to thank the CBC, CBC Here and Now and all the Media that has seen the diversity and depth of our ISBHF Family. We would like to thank the programs who went on the CBC to tell them about there leagues they have back at home in Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Israel and Switzerland to mention a few. These CBC coast to coast pieces are great exposure for the game. And of our 10th Men's and 4th Women's world meeting of the ISBHF family.
